Three people have written to me asking how to become successful at selling pixels. At first, just after Alex tew started his site, it was all much simpler, pixels were selling quickly on lots of sites. But as the number of sites increased there were less and less sales for the new sites.

For a site to be successful, I think it needs to have lots of traffic 1500 - 2000 visitors a day at least and then it needs to be listed in the "Toplist" type sites so that people can see that it's a high traffic site.Sites like www.pixeltrafficwatcher.com and www.top50-pixel-sites.com list pixel advertising sites and listing your site there will get you publicity. There's a lot more "Toplist" sites listed at the bottom of www.milliondollarspixel.com Get listed on lots of those types of sites, anywhere where people can see that you have lots of traffic and then it might just work. I tell them they also need to offer great value for money, so researching prices will be necessary in order to pitch the price/term competitively. I sure that buyers will go to the advertising offering the most hits for the least outlay.

I've seen one site which lists 1600 + pixel sites so there's lots of competition out there.

Pixel advertising sites are here for a while but it may be just a few big sites which profit. further than that I think pixel ads will become more prominent on ordinary sites in the form of banners or small advert areas.
